The claim that "our own sneaker would not succeed" fuelled us to create one with Starter. Leveraging 50 years of the brand's iconic heritage, we created a sneaker that felt classic and relevant in a competitive market. Successfully launching and selling out multiple models has been a significant win on the bucket list.
Develop
For campaign direction, we wanted to champion local talent. This was done both visually and sonically by collaborating with artists to create soundtracks. Showcasing the connection of Sports and Hip Hop was the foundation for our version of the brand.
Design
A focus of design with Starter was to balance the brand's sportswear heritage with a fresh streetwear angle. We aimed to shift perceptions by introducing denim silhouettes, sneakers, and bold graphic collaborations. The objective was to craft items that, while unconventional for Starter, seamlessly aligned with the brand's essence.
